PSYC 280 - Counseling Theories and Methods Credit Hours: 4 Frequency of Offering: Offered in each semester
An introduction to the major theoretical models of counseling, the methods of counseling, and their current applications and modalities. The course also provides students with an understanding of ethical and professional issues in the field. Students will learn foundational skills in the evaluation and communication of psychological research.
Course Satisfies: “Health & Counseling” Breadth Area. Prerequisite(s): PSYC 101 with a grade of C- or better or with permission of the instructor.
