BIOL 270 - Genetics Credit Hours: 4 Frequency of Offering: Offered annually in the fall semester
An examination of the fundamental principles underlying heredity and variation. This course will trace the origins of contemporary genetic thought from the discovery of Mendel’s Laws through the development of the chromosome theory of inheritance, followed by a consideration of the recent advances in molecular genetics.
Prerequisite(s): BIOL 105 , BIOL 105L . Co-requisite(s): BIOL 270L , CHEM 103 .
