ART 346 - Advanced Animation

This course will build upon the skills and concepts introduced in Introduction to Animation, through an intensive, project-driven studio practice. Students will gain experience in advanced principles of animation, pre-production, and methods of aesthetic expression and communication in time-based art production. Lectures, readings, screenings, and discussions will deepen students’ understanding of the issues central to contemporary animation, and facilitate the exploration of form, method, and content in the artistic use of technology. Prerequisite(s): ART 214 - Introduction to Digital Media Art or ART 246 - Introduction to Animation.
