HIST 104 - Historical Foundations of the Modern World to 1450 Credit Hours: 4 A thematic and topical study of the political, social, economic and cultural developments that established the early Western heritage and contributed to its influence on non-European peoples and cultures around the world. Representative topics will be explored within a chronological format: the emergence of civilizations; ancient cultures; the making of Europe; interactions with Asia; and the medieval world.
