SOCI 329 - Sociology of War and Peace Credit Hours: 4 Frequency of Offering: Offered in alternate years, usually in the fall semester
This course surveys the social contexts of organized armed conflict: war and peace as social institutions; the origins of the modern war system; military sociology; and modern issues such as women in the military, weapons proliferation, ethnic and religious strife, peace movements and peacekeeping organizations.
Prerequisite(s): SOCI 201 .
