ART 247 - Introduction to Animation: 2D Methods

This course introduces students to the fundamental issues and techniques of animation through projects that incorporate both drawing and digital tools. Emphasis is given to developing an understanding of the expressive use of movement and timing. Lectures, readings, and screenings will introduce students to the history, principles, and contemporary techniques of animation, and facilitate the exploration of form, method, and content through studio assignments and projects.
