MTSC 301 - Introduction to Materials Science Credit Hours: 4 Frequency of Offering: Offered annually in the spring semester
This introductory course provides the basis for combining fundamental concepts learned in general chemistry and physics. Students will investigate the relationship between a material’s nanoscale structure and its macroscale properties, including fundamental optical, electronic, magnetic and mechanical properties of metals, semiconductors, biomolecules and polymers.
Prerequisite(s): CHEM 106 PHYS 142
