MATH 132 - Calling BS

In this class we will talk about descriptive statistics, statistical traps, data visualization for understanding information (but also examine how it can be used to mislead the audience) and basic mathematical modeling utilizing a programming language for making predictions. We will apply mathematics to issues such as, gender inequity, prisons, racial profiling, povery, public health, and more.
